Personal data
Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person (Art. 4 n. 1 GDPR). By way of example, the natural person could be associated with specific online computer identifiers produced by devices, applications, tools and protocols used, as well as IP addresses, cookies, or identifiers of another nature, and RFID tags. These identifiers can lead, when compared with other unique identifiers or other data received on servers, to the construction of profiles of natural persons and even to the identification of a specific natural person (paragraph 30 of the Regulation's preamble).
