Selecting the correct coating depends on the properties of the item being transported and the required grip. High friction for good conveying efficiency, low friction to reduce power transmission, softness for sensitive items, or hardness for sharp items are the determining factors.
Each material involved performs its task according to its specific properties. To meet specific conveying applications, the tooth side and/or the conveying side, both the belt and the coating, can be machined.
